Going to Virginia

I am excited to be teaching at the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival.             This will be my first time attending this festival and I am looking forward to meeting new people and seeing old friends. I am teaching three classes.  Mini Messenger Bag(half day), Fast Piecing with Seminole Piecing Techniques […]

This and That

I got an early Christmas present today. My episode of Patchwork Nation is finished. A couple of months ago I got a call from Crafty inviting me to do a video talking about and sharing my work. Without giving it a second thought I said yes. As I was in the throws of getting ready […]

On the Design Wall

The design is now off the wall. It is finished.  I am happy with the results. I wish it had presented itself with a title. Chose not to do any quilting instead I appliquéd circles on the border, the sleeves and the collar.   SaveSave SaveSave

On the Design Wall

The piecing is all done. I need to ponder it for a while, considering whether or not it will need stitching or other embellishments. There isn’t a lot of time for it present itself as it needs to be finished by the end of next week. SaveSave

Crimson Forest

The foundation piecing is completed on the body of the coat. Now I only have the sleeves left to do and to decide if I  need some embellishment before I construct the coat. I am considering adding some simple stitching. I don’t really machine quilt, but I could stitch outlines of some trees and add […]

The shouting is over and Boho Jive is done

It all started with me finding a piece of fabric on my shelf, as I was tidying and folding fabric. I am not sure how long ago it was that Kris Nardello and I acquired some Afghani fabrics. It was such beautiful fabric and I had used some of it in a dress years ago. […]
