Orange Brocade Cruise Vest

I made this elegant vest for a dinner at the captain’s table on a quilt cruise. I was invited to teach on a cruise in the Caribbean. One of the nights of the cruise 3 of the instructors were invited to dine at the captain’s table. I knew I need to step my wardrobe up a notch, but I wanted something that was formal enough but versatile and elegant. The vest is an orange and green Chinese brocade accented with raw silk and a silk jacquard. It pairs well with black pants and a white or cream colored blouse.
