Mola Mania

I had an idea to make a mola coat over 15 years ago. My friend, Janet who is married to a Panamanian, had some relatives visit from Panama. I was sharing my idea, so one of them offered to have some pig molas designed especially for me. I received them with excitement but being in the middle of other projects promptly put them in a drawer. Years later in September of 2018, I decided to pull them out and make the coat. I had fewer than I remembered so I went through my stash and added others that I had collected of the years. The result is a celebration of the mola.
