Sangria

Rachel's Story

There is a lot of Seminole piecing going on in this coat, but the continuity color is a beautiful wine hue that gives this coat it’s festive name: Sangria

Garment Description

Front:
The front of the Sangria coat showcases bold Seminole piecing in a vibrant rainbow of colors, blending warm reds, oranges, and yellows with cool blues and greens. Triangles, stripes, and other geometric shapes come together in a dynamic patchwork design, accented with scattered buttons for extra personality. Black-and-white zebra-striped piping frames the button placket, adding a playful contrast to the colorful panels.

Back:
The back of the coat radiates like a stained-glass masterpiece, with pieced vertical panels that echo the rainbow hues from the front. Rows of buttons and striking geometric patterns bring depth and texture to the design. A wine-colored yoke and piping tie the back into the overall look, giving it a polished finish.

Lining:
Inside, the coat is lined with a smooth olive-green satin fabric that catches the light beautifully. This luxurious touch not only adds elegance but also makes the coat feel just as special on the inside as it looks on the outside.

Sleeves and Collar:
The sleeves continue the vibrant Seminole piecing with color-blocked sections of blues, reds, and oranges, creating a cohesive look across the garment. The wine-colored collar and cuffs provide a rich, grounding contrast that balances the bright patchwork design, tying the whole piece together.
