Rachel has a lot of watermelon 🍉 signs 🪧 hung on the walls inside her house. We're featuring three of them today 🍉🍉🍉.
This vintage sign harkens back to a time when you could buy a slice of watermelon for less than $10.00 and it didn't come shrink wrapped in plastic. This sign is handpainted and has a nice chunky wood watermelon slice to give it some depth.
Below is another simple watermelon slice wood carving with a bite. Bites and watermelon art seem to go hand in hand. This slide has a sign attached where someone has handpainted "watermelon" - the writing is very similar to the wood sculpture from 2 weeks ago, perhaps the same artist? Or is it the seeds that inspire the black pips on the ends of the letters?
Finally, a trio of angels praying in front of a needlepoint watermelon wall hanging. Angel 3 is holding an apple, but Angels 1 and 2 are guarding that big shiny watermelon Christmas tree ornament. No bites out of this one!
